Common questions
Why not just print my number on the label?
A printed number is readable by everyone who passes your bag, forever, and cannot be changed. A QR reveals nothing by itself and can be re-pointed or switched off whenever you like.
What does the finder have to do?
Point a camera and tap one button. There is no app, no sign-up and no cost to them.
Can I tag things I lend out?
Yes. Tools, books and equipment issued to staff or students can each carry a tag, and the scan history tells you where they have been.
What happens if I sell the item?
Unlink the tag, or hand it over and let the new owner claim it. It stops resolving to you the moment you release it.
